S. M. Sundaram is a Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant, Company Secretary, Chartered Financial Analyst, and MBA from IIM Ahmedabad, with several all-India ranks. He brings about 38 years of professional experience, predominantly in senior roles in Finance and Investment Management specializing in cross border investments in both private equity and listed investments. He is also a Non-Executive Independent Director at Matrimony.com Ltd and the Sanmar Group’s Corporate Board. Till April 2018, he served as Partner and Chief Financial Officer at Baring Private Equity Partners India, overseeing assets exceeding $1 billion across multiple fund entities. He was also the CFO of CSS Corp, a San Jose-based IT Services company with operations in multiple countries, until 2007. Till 2000, he was part of the senior management team at the Sanmar Group, a large business conglomerate headquartered in Chennai.
